Chanukah, “The festival of light” recalls a military victory of the Jewish people dating back over 2,100 years ago, when our enemies oppressed us and forbade the keeping of the Torah. Ever since, we kindle the “Menorah” celebrating the triumph of light over darkness, purity over adulteration and spirituality over materiality.
In the past 20 years, the “Chanukah Menorah Motorcade" has been a growing campaign, spreading the message of Chanukah around the world.
Being that Queens has a large Jewish population, we were inspired to take part in this global campaign and spread the light of Chanukah to the Jewish residence of the Forest Hills and surrounding neighborhoods.
